Welcome to Dong Bo Sung, a Chinese-Korean fusion restaurant located in Fort Lee, NJ. This hidden gem offers a variety of delicious dishes and a cozy ambiance that keeps customers coming back for more.
One of the standout items on the menu is the Jjajangmyun, a Korean black bean noodle soup that is a fan favorite among regulars. The special combo of Jjajangmyun and Jjambbong is a must-try for those who can't decide between spicy and savory flavors. The Tang Soo Yook, fried breaded pork with sweet and sour sauce, is another popular choice that's packed with flavor.

My favorite place for Jjajangmyun (Korean black bean noodle soup; I don't know why it's called that because they're not technically made of nor taste like black beans... The sauce is made of fermented soybeans and other ingredients.). Dong Bo Sung has a 1/2 Jjajangmyun and 1/2 Jjambbong (spicy seafood soup with noodles) option, so I usually grab that. Their Tang Soo Yook (fried breaded pork with sweet & sour sauce) is average but yummy, while their Kkangpoong Sehwoo (sweet & spicy fried breaded shrimp) is definitely one of the yummiest in the area. Service can be slow, but they respond quickly once you get their attention. Ambiance isn't fancy; it's a small restaurant with a spacious parking lot in the back.

Best Jjajanyeon in the NYC metropolitan area. They also have a weekday lunch special.

I love this place when it comes to eating its black bean noodles. It's a cheap and underrated place to eat at. Service, although sometimes there is a language barrier, is bearable and understandable. Would recommend to come here when you first visit fort lee as it's close to the GWB

The service was very quick and the food was hot and fresh. It is not a big place but it wasn't cramped. I got the garlic chicken and fried rice as well as the fried dumplings. The chicken was good but I prefer white meat. Other than that the sauce was delicious and the rice was great. The dumplings were perfectly crunchy.

So much goodness in two orders! I come here often for the black bean noodles, which is always great. This time however my husband and I ordered the japtangbap which has mixed sauteed seafood over egg fried rice, and a mixed dish that had a little of everything we usually get. Chicken was great - just what you would expect chicken kkanpponggi to be- sauced and juicy on the inside. Egg fried rice 10/10 Family friendly, space for large groups, little to no wait time Parking - there's plenty of back parking for free, although the entrance and exit is super narrow. Street parking is metered.

nice straightforward korean/chinese food located away from main street but still popular with the locals. I really like the garlic chicken with fried rice. Yes, this is general tso's chicken but this version is much better than the one you get at the fast food take out joints. there's some finesse here and it's sweet and spicy! comes with a couple of side dishes as well. will branch out and try some of their noodle dishes next time!

I recently moved to Bergen County and I was nearly desperately in search of a good jjajangmyeon spot. I was so happy to find Dong Bo Sung! Their combo with jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk or mandu is my go-to order now! I would say their jjajangmyeon is a little bit sweeter than most, but very good nonetheless.

This place is amazing for lip slurping black bean and Korean seafood noodles. The broth is extremely complex and tastes of a medley of seafood and the black bean noodles are the perfect consistency and drenched in a meaty black bean sauce. I highly recommend ordering sweet and sour beef with your meal. It is a lightly battered crisp meat dish that is served with a side of thick, sweet and tangy fruity sauce that compliments any noodle dish really well. Order lunch special to try out all of their thoughtfully made offerings without breaking the bank at around less than $10 a dish! Service is quick, and there is street parking to order ahead and quickly stop and pick up your meal.
